  <description>Chilly spacious distance with random muted industrial movements in dense fog. Full &amp; shrouded in supernatural mystery. Cold empathic visions of the beginnings &amp; endings of the universe. Subtly warm reassurances of far away factories humming with artificial life. Ice as far as the eye can see, the wind murmurs like ghosts.&#13;

  <notes>Stars Whisper is a collection of three live songs from Northern Valentine, recorded in their hometown of Philadelphia with a line-up of Robert Brown, Amy Brown, Jeffrey Bumiller, &amp; Marc Carazo. The individual tracks were recorded at The Fire &amp; The Rotunda (as part of “Gate”, an experimental music series).&#13;
Recorded shortly after The Distance Brings Us Closer, Stars Whisper continues the group’s development of indie ambient sounds &amp; explorations of modern psychedelia. On these songs, blissed out guitars, keyboards used as percussion &amp; long ringing bass notes join with samples stretched beyond their limits, disassembled wind instruments, electronic children’s toys, pellets, shells, &amp; other electro acoustic elements to make the sound of a sunken ship resurrected &amp; propelled into space.&#13;
Two of the songs were recorded by the band, using a portable field recorder, &amp; the third song was recorded by War Games (aka Ed from Hotel Hotel), also using a portable field recorder. There is no overdubbing or post-production on any of the tracks.</notes>
